At Newman & Regent, we believe that true quality is timeless. It isn’t rushed, compromised, or diluted. It is built with intention — shaped by hands that refuse to settle for anything less than excellence. Our footwear exists for those who recognise that standards matter, and that the best things in life are crafted, not produced. Our story began on Regent Street in Kettering, where the first steps of our shoemaking journey were taken. Today, that journey continues just a short walk away, inside a Victorian Grade II listed boot and shoe factory on Newman Street — a building whose brickwork still carries the warmth and wisdom of generations of English craftsmen. Our name honours these two streets, but our identity is rooted in something deeper: the heart of Northamptonshire’s shoemaking heritage.

Though our brand is new, our foundations stretch back to 1873. We stand on the shoulders of those who shaped English footwear before us — makers who understood that a pair of shoes is more than leather and thread. It is a promise. A commitment to durability, comfort, and beauty that lasts. Every pair we create is 100% Made in England by a team whose experience is matched only by their dedication. We make only what we would proudly wear ourselves, and we hold every boot and shoe to the same uncompromising standards that have defined this region for centuries. Each pair of Newman & Regent footwear is designed to transcend trends. Crafted from exceptional materials, shaped with precision, and finished by the hands of skilled cordwainers, our shoes are built to endure — in style, in structure, and in spirit. OUR LOGO'S

                 

Our logo incorporates design elements inspired by the architecture and and heritage of our historic factories. Designed by the talented Tobias Hall, whose lettering, illustration and design work has been commissioned by the likes of the Rolling Stones, Paroni, Zizzi, Wagamamas, and Comic Relief. 

Our unique logo consists of a strong bespoke font type, inspired by the original 'N' keystone that still stands above the entrance to our Newman Street factory. This keystone is resembled in the logo and houses the 'N&R'. 

The silver falcon that adorns our crest takes it inspiration from the Northamptonshire coat of arms and sits proudly on top of a Northamptonshire rose, which also features as a stone decoration in the Newman factory.
